Job Description
Qualifications:
• Epic Orders Certification required; Epic Clinical Documentation preferred
• 10 years of experience doing Epic application build and support
• Must be proficient in building and configuring the Epic Orders module
• Extensive experience with Epic Orders and Inpatient modules, including charge capture, coding workflows, configuration, and testing
• In-depth understanding of physician orders, charge capture, and coding processes in health care
• Familiarity with Epic system Integration and collaboration with clinical operations and coding teams
• Ability to perform charge testing, validate system enhancements, and ensure compliance with coding standards
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to Identify, escalate, and resolve Issues In partnership with leadership and operational teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical end users and multidisciplinary teams
• Must be able to efficiently Implement Epic enhancements and provide clear updates to leadership
IT Applications department is seeking an Epic Orders Build Analyst to implement system enhancements for charge capture and coding accuracy. This role focuses on Improving Epic's physician orders and charging workflows in collaboration with clinical operations, coding teams, and the Epic orders team. The analyst will gather requirements, design, and build solutions, and test system enhancements to ensure successful Implementation. They will also develop training plans and support the adoption of new processes among clinical and coding staff. Regular status reports will be provided to leadership, highlighting progress, and resolving escalations. The analyst will work closely with operational teams to identify key performance Indicators and measure the effectiveness of system changes.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with application analysts and operational stakeholders to gather requirements for charge capture, charge review, and reconciliation processes
• Ensure the Epic inpatient team completes the design and build for charging and coding workflows across clinical services
• Perform charge testing and work with operational stakeholders to develop and implement training plans for clinical and coding teams
• Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and document meetings to support technical implementations and ensure user adoption
• Partner with operations to identify and implement key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness and success of system enhancements
• Escalate issues to program governance, in partnership with IT leadership, to support the resolution of complex challenges.
• Lead application build activities throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure Epic application updates meet business and operational requirements
• Provide weekly status updates to project leadership on assignments, progress, and any escalations, ensuring transparency and communication
